Schedule it

I can describe my agenda in one word: disaster! Everything is written in different colors, with absolutely no order, it has hair color stains for writing down things in the middle of retouching someone’s hair. It has arrows, hearts, sad and happy faces but in that abstract interpretation of what I call organization there is an idea of where and how I invest my time. Time is defined as the extent which measures the duration of a given phenomenon or event and a length or portion of time in which something happens.
How many times have you been in that place where you are analyzing your time and you think how if you had more time you could do this or that. It had never crossed my mind how we treat time like money, if we had plenty and we could, we’d make more! The reality is that we can’t go to the bank and ask for a time loan but we can invest it better.
I love what it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
I must confess that many times I think my agenda has control of me instead of me being in control of my agenda. I want to live the life that God wants me to live, I have to manage my time better. Let’s do something, let’s place a sticky note that says “there is a time for everything” in our agendas so that we don’t forget to live everyday, season and moment to the max. Remember, we know about today but not about tomorrow.

The Ombre Perfect for you

The perfect ombre for you
This look, originated in France, has left it’s mark since the 80’s in different forms and colors. As it has been said, styles always return revolutionized and made better and in 2012 ombre has returned in full force. The technique used for ombre consists of diffusing a color from light to dark from tips to roots. It is definitely something you can try in any shade or color and it adds more trendiness to your spring. Give the highlights a vacation and find the ombre for you.

The miracle of Biotin

One of the most frequently asked questions I’ve received is: how can I make my hair grow faster? I’ve been asked about shampoos, tying really tight pony tails, even things like blow-drying your hair everyday or combing your hair 100 times daily, and finally one of my favorites putting birth control in shampoo. Though some may work, truthfully most of them don’t work at all.
There was a time when my hair was falling out in chunks and it got to the point where I got very worried. I couldn’t imagine being a hair stylist with any hair. So one of the last things left to try was a vitamin that to this day has made miracles happen for me: Biotin(vitamin B7). The falling out of and weakness of the hair is caused by so many things like stress, lack of necessary nutrients and vitamins, extreme dieting, some prescription drugs, hormonal changes, just to name a few. Every cause needs to be treated differently and if you note that the texture of your hair is extremely weak and the falling out or shedding is severe I suggest you go to your dermatologist.
Biotin has so many benefits for your metabolism and cellular reproduction, that is why it’s so good for your hair, skin and nails. Yes, in many cases it’s been said it helps with hair growth but that’s actually only a bonus of all the benefits that these vitamins provide. If your one of those people who doesn’t like to take pills there are other quick solutions that you can include in your diet like: bread, eggs or dairy, meats and fish and some fruits and vegetables.
I have made Biotin a part of my diet and I have had great results, but I have had to be patient. These changes don’t happen over night, you have to give your body time to adjust and to react, but the wait is worth it.

Sephora: Color of the Year

I had the privilege of being at the Sephora Plaza las Americas VIB event on Thursday in honor of "The Color of The Year". This year Sephora has teamed up with revolutionary Pantone designers to create some of the most sought after makeup on the market for spring/summer 2012! This years color? Tangerine! The new palettes are absolutely stunning, artistic, and creative! If you have not seen them first hand then I suggest you go to your local Sephora, paycheck in hand, and admire the stunning quality of what makeup art has become! And P.S. I hated the color Orange...till Thursday.

Sending Tangerine colored kisses,
